Dr. Jyoti Prakash: A Multifaceted Force in Global Public Health Dr. Jyoti Prakash is a distinguished public health expert whose interdisciplinary expertise, academic rigor, and years of practical experience have made him a leader in global health initiatives. His diverse educational background includes a PhD from The Thames International University, Paris, France, a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Ravenshaw University, Odisha, a Master of Health Science in Applied Ergonomics from Annamalai University, and a B.Tech in Information Technology from SOA University, Bhubaneswar. This academic foundation showcases his commitment to blending technical knowledge with public health insight, an approach that has fueled his career in transforming health systems. Dr. Prakash’s career spans over 15 years, during which he has played an integral role in the development, implementation, and management of public health projects both in India and abroad. His contributions have been pivotal in key areas such as project implementation, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, and institutional collaboration. He has worked with esteemed organizations like the European Union, UNICEF, Save the Children, KIIT School of Public Health, and IQVIA, contributing to strategic public health programs that address some of the world’s most urgent health issues. A prolific writer, Dr. Prakash has authored numerous research articles that have been published in leading public health journals. His research has focused on complex health challenges such as antibiotic resistance, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and maternal and child health. Currently, Dr. Prakash serves as the Senior Officer for Non-Communicable Diseases at PCI India. In this role, he continues to drive community-based health initiatives that address the growing burden of non-communicable diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases, in underserved populations.
