From humble beginnings in a small, scholarly family, Dr. Brajadulal Chakrabarti’s journey is one of perseverance, lifelong learning, and deep spiritual conviction. Born to Pandit S. M. Chakrabarti—an eminent teacher who received the National Award for Teachers from Dr. S. Radhakrishnan in 1965—and Nirupama Devi, a compassionate mother of eight, he inherited a legacy of intellect and integrity. Though financial challenges marked his early life, he transformed adversity into inspiration, shaping a life dedicated to education, innovation, and human welfare.
From an early age, Dr. Chakrabarti displayed a natural inclination toward knowledge and discipline. Even as he worked during the day, he pursued higher studies at night, steadily building a strong academic foundation. Over the years, his dedication resulted in an impressive array of qualifications: I.Sc., DME, DTT, B.A., M.A. in Sociology, multiple M.Sc. degrees in varied disciplines, an MBA, an M.Phil., and a Ph.D. in Management. His educational achievements reflect not only intellectual depth but also an unrelenting pursuit of excellence.
His passion for continuous learning extended beyond academics. He undertook specialized training programs sponsored by the Government of India and various prestigious institutions, spanning fields such as industrial engineering, project management, entrepreneurship, sustainable development, and quality management systems. From the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore to the National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) and the British Standards Institute, his exposure to diverse disciplines enriched his professional acumen.
Dr. Chakrabarti’s career began in the technical and industrial sectors, where he gained hands-on experience with several reputed organizations. He served with M. N. Dastur & Co. Pvt. Ltd., a multinational engineering consultancy firm based in Kolkata, contributing to major industrial projects from conception to commissioning. Later, he worked with Veegal Engines & Engineering Ltd., where he oversaw the production of mechanical tools and engines.
His deep commitment to education drew him toward teaching. He joined the Government of Tripura’s Department of Education, serving as a faculty member at both the Tripura Polytechnic Institute (now TIT) and Tripura Engineering College (now NIT Agartala). His tenure as an educator was marked by an exceptional ability to inspire and mentor young minds, blending technical instruction with moral and intellectual guidance.
Transitioning to the Directorate of Industries under the Department of Industries & Commerce, he contributed significantly to the development of small and medium enterprises. As Manager and later General Manager, he played a pivotal role in industrial promotion, training initiatives, and financial support for entrepreneurs. His leadership in administration and project monitoring was instrumental in fostering industrial growth across Tripura. After decades of service, he retired in February 2002, but his pursuit of knowledge continued with advanced degrees in sociology and management.
In the later years of his career, Dr. Chakrabarti took on a new challenge as CEO of the SPACETECH Group of Companies in Ambernath, Maharashtra. Under his guidance, the organization expanded its manufacturing of pressure vessels, structural components, and cryogenic equipment—achievements that extended the company’s footprint beyond India. He continued in this role with dedication until January 2020, resigning during the COVID-19 pandemic to devote himself to writing and research.
An accomplished author, Dr. Chakrabarti has penned several books that reflect his intellectual and spiritual depth. Among his published works are Panditmashay, Anjali, Jiban Prabaha, and Glimpse of Joy under the Canopy of Divine Light, the last of which earned the International Authors Excellence Award 2025. His writings—rich in wisdom, compassion, and humanism—mirror his lifelong pursuit of truth and harmony.
Beyond literature, he remains deeply engaged in research on yogic science, contributing scholarly papers to reputed journals. His daily yoga practice and spiritual discipline embody his belief in holistic wellness and the unity of knowledge, body, and soul.
